A Few words about Altumtech
Latin America mining sector is facing major challenges due to the aging of the most important mines. Lower ore grades, deep mining, increased presence of water, hard rock, hot & reactive ground are some of the common production conditions that need sophisticated and customized methods for safe and productive mineral extraction. This scenario represents an attractive opportunity for collaboration between different mining stakeholders and highly specialized technology and services providers.

Executive Team
Christian Contador
Managing Director
Experienced executive with more than 25 years in the mining and services business. Christian has held various Regional Executive and General Management positions in the mining sector within Latin America, most recently with Orica Mining as Chile and Argentina General Manager. He has a strong commercial and negotiation abilities, having established long term partnerships with major mining companies. Christian has an excellent understanding of Latin America mining regulations, opportunities and challenges. He holds an MBA from Adolfo Ibáñez University and a BS in Mining & Mineral Engineering from Santiago de Chile University
Efren Rojas
Director
Senior Executive with wide experience in Mining, Energy, Oil & Gas sectors. Prior to join Altumtech, Efren was Vice President of Orica Mining for Latin America. Efren has held several other executive positions with Exterran Oil & Gas, Caterpillar Financial and AES Corporation. He has a solid background in Business Development, Turnarounds, Commercial Negotiations and Strategic Partnerships. Efren holds an MBA from Warwick Business School, MS in Public Policies for Technology & Innovation and BS in Mechanical Engineering. He has served as Executive Board member for several companies around Latin America.
Andrés Piñero
Director
Seasoned technology and automation industry executive. Andres joined Altumtech after being Sales Director of Honeywell Latin America. Andres has also served as Executive Marketing and Sales Director for OSIsoft, Rockwell and Unisys. He has wide experience in Digital Transformation, Process and Automation Solutions for the mining, oil and gas, consumer goods and infrastructure industries. Andres has an MS in Marketing and Sales from IESA and BS in Electronic Engineering from Fleming College. Andres currently serves as a Board member for Alter Energy LLC
